The restaurant "Medžiotojų užeiga" is located in Rotušės square. Since in XVII – XVIII centuries the building was owned by the famous Zabielos family, the rich city-dwellers from Kaunas, the building has been frequently referred to as the Zabielų House by many researchers of the Vilnius Old Town. At the end of the XIX century, Antanas Baranauskas, a classic of the Lithuanian literature, lived in the house, which has now become a unique 200-seat restaurant.

An appetizing aroma of delicious steak being prepared tickles your nose as you are approaching the restaurant. Once you have stepped inside, the smile of the host, welcoming you in the doorway, invites you to join the whirlpool of warm atmosphere, coziness and pleasure. You will definitely enjoy the romantic environment, filled with the smell of gunpowder, and the hunting trophies and attributes will surely catch your eye. Our guests are offered to taste high-quality Lithuanian and European cuisine in the restaurant. Only here you can find such a wide choice of game dishes.

Our banquet halls will not leave you indifferent as well. "Medžiotojų užeiga" boasts of 4 halls suited for organising banquets, drink, receptions, conferences, as well as presentations and parties. The “Safari” hall, which is ideal for smoking hookah or cigars, is big enough for as many as 10 people. The Small Hall can seat as many as 20 guests. You will appreciate the ancient spirit filling the hall, as well as wonderfully prepared game dishes. The Club Hall on the second floor can accomodate 20 people at the same time. It is a perfect ideal place to spend an hour or so, sitting before the fireplace, smoking a cigar or drinking mature wine or brandy, the assortment of which would satisfy even the most demanding guest. Besides, the Grand Hall for 80 people, suited for making a party, banquet or conference, is at your service. In summer, an outdoor terrace is available as well.

Our experience, as well as the high quality of service has been appreciated by such honorable quests as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Algirdas Brazauskas, the President of the Republic of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus, as well as other first-rank guests from more than 20 countries.

In March 2006, King Albert II and  Queen Paola of Belgium visited the restaurant, taking away the recipe of our famous “Hunter soup” as they were leaving. A famous violoncellist Mstislav Rastropovich has also honoured us with a visit. Finally, it is not a secret that our cuisine attracts some famous players of the Zalgiris basketball team as well.
